Mustard Seed Grants Program

The Mustard Seed Grants Program is designed to attract new and innovative approaches to advancing the Trust and Mission of Urantia Foundation.

Join us for an upcoming information session about the Mustard Seed Grant Process.

To improve alignment, proposal quality, and shared understanding of how the Mustard Seed Grant Program (MSGP) discerns, evaluates, and stewards grant funding, the MSGP Committee is offering two, one-hour applicant information sessions on Zoom.

These sessions are designed to support both first-time and returning applicants as they consider applying in upcoming grant rounds.

Session Dates and Times (Central Standard Time)

  • Thursday, January 22, 2026 | 11:00–12:00 PM  CST
  • Friday, January 30, 2026 | 11:00–12:00 PM  CST

  • Prospective applicants considering submitting a proposal
  • Returning applicants seeking clarification
  • Teams and collaborators involved in proposal development

What Will Be Covered

  • Overview of the MSGP mission and philosophy of giving
  • MSGP focus areas and examples of funded projects
  • How proposals are evaluated and discerned by the committee
  • Guidance on strong scopes of work, budgets, and measurable outcomes
  • Common pitfalls and lessons learned from prior rounds
  • Live Q&A with MSGP Committee representatives

Format  and Logistics

  • Each session will be held via Zoom
  • Sessions will cover the same content; attendance at only one session is necessary
  • A recording and slides  will be available following the sessions

Eligibility Requirements

Grant funds will be awarded to applicants that meet eligibility requirements. To be eligible, the prospective project must align with the purpose of Urantia Foundation as outlined in its Mission, Vision, Values, and Principal Object. Further, the eligible applicant must:

  • Be a student of The Urantia Book
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from members of the Urantia community
  • Document the existence of matching funds of at least 25% of the total cost of the proposed project. Matching funds must be available at the time of application.
  • Demonstrate a history of service (service resume) and experience completing similar projects

If you meet the above criteria, we welcome you to apply for a grant.

  • Family-Based Programs
