David and Joyce, both longtime students of The Urantia Book, have been married for 36 years, have two adult children, and are attorneys. They are active in their local Urantia Association, study group, and church community. Joyce is an associate trustee of Urantia Foundation and serves as secretary of the Urantia Association of the United States. David is a graduate of the Urantia Book Teacher Education Program, and is a teacher-facilitator with Urantia Book International School (UBIS), where he also serves as the global Course Review Coordinator. They run over 500 miles a year together and enjoy gardening, cooking, trips to the library, and visiting with family and friends.

This retreat will underscore three core competencies in our approach to knowing God: spiritual attainment, moral engagement, and discernment. Within a circle of trust we will share stories, practice deep listening, laugh, meditate, and take walks. We will draw deeply from the revelation’s appreciation of the “personality approach” to God.
