Trustees Put Unity Policy Into Action

In January of this year, the Trustees announced a policy of support for unity and cooperation among readers and reader groups. This policy-decision was followed by decisive action when, in February, the Trustees invited two leaders of the Fellowship, Gard Jameson and Mo Siegel, to join the Board of Trustees. They graciously accepted.
Then in April, the Trustees sponsored a meeting between the Executive Committee of the Fellowship and IUA leaders, the Coordinating Committee, and the Trustees. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss matters of common interest, address organizational differences, and explore possible joint projects. Most attendees felt hopeful after the meeting, and some agreement was reached in the area of joint projects.
Also in April, and continuing into the summer, the Trustees embarked on a tour to visit readers in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Boston, New York, and Boulder. Many thoughts and feelings were exchanged during these meetings; old friendships were renewed and new ones made. The prevailing sentiment at the meetings was one of hope ó that we may all work together, united by our common desire to disseminate the supernal teachings of The Urantia Book.
