Urantia Foundation Education Committee Presents
Science Symposium IV
“The Evolution of Human Knowledge—100 Years Later”
Thursday and Friday, November 6–7, 2025
The first 25 years of the twentieth century were full of exciting evolutionary advancements which transformed the scientific landscape and altered the course of human life. These included Max Planck's discovery of the quantum nature of energy, Albert Einstein's groundbreaking special theory of relativity, the first powered airplane flight by the Wright brothers, the invention of radio communication by Marconi, the pioneering of intelligence testing by Alfred Binet, and the accidental discovery of penicillin by Alexander Fleming.
We also began receiving the Urantia Papers.
Have scientific discoveries conflicted with revealed concepts? Or do they confirm and reinforce them?
Join emcee Marjorie Ray to find out! Ten science-minded Urantia Book readers will present current research on a fascinating array of topics. Each presentation will be followed by an interactive panel discussion. All 90-minute sessions will be recorded for future viewing.

In times of crisis, humanity often turns to God. However, in an increasingly secular society, people may believe they need to forgo logic to believe in a Higher Power. The Urantia Book offers a perspective lacking in the world today—that we can know God through science.
We learn in college that Isaac Newton was a key figure in ushering in the Age of Enlightenment, where reason trumped faith. Intellectual thought and materialistic ideology overtook a belief in God. We are still living in the aftermath of that separation of reason and faith. However, this departure from God is unfounded, for the person seen as primarily responsible for the movement away from God secretly held a very Christian worldview. The greatest scientist of all time, Sir Isaac Newton, believed that there is no science without God. In this presentation, you'll learn about Newton's unpublished writings, discovered in the late 1930s, which change everything we once thought about the founder of modern science.
